The Skoda Kushaq Facelift is a welcome update to an already impressive compact SUV. While the original Kushaq was a solid choice for city driving, the facelift brings several enhancements that elevate the driving experience, especially on the highway. However, it's not without its quirks and areas for improvement.

One of the standout features is the refined 1.0L turbo-petrol engine, which delivers a smooth and linear power delivery. The engine's tractability and ease of acceleration make it a joy to drive in traffic, and its mid-range and top-end performance are impressive on the highway. The 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission is a welcome addition, offering a silky-smooth shift and efficient gear changes. However, the transmission's efficiency-focused tuning can lead to a slight delay in kickdown when flooring the accelerator, which is a minor quirk.

The Kushaq's ride quality is another strong point. The suspension strikes a perfect balance between comfort and control, making it suitable for both city and highway driving. The steering, while light and direct at lower speeds, could be firmer at higher speeds to cater to more enthusiastic drivers. The brakes are confidence-inspiring, providing powerful and responsive stopping power.
